Windows 10: cant reset or change administrator acct

Discus and support cant reset or change administrator acct in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I bought sister in laws laptop. why wont it factory reset or let me change the administrator acct?...     My mispelledmail acct

    one of my e mail addresses is misspelled, but is one of those accts that pops up when I go to log in to an e mail acct. How do I remove this misspelled acct from this list of accts that pop up as suggestions when I begin typing in the email acct I want.

    Changing Win 1 acct type from guest to administrator

    Have been trying for HOURS(!) to make this change. All the suggestions tried thus far, except getting into the registry or signing in on safe mode, have yielded the dreaded the popup that to make a change requires entering the administrators username & password,
    BUT gives no place to enter the info. Frustrated - yea!!! Any guidance appreciated! Steve

    ps. I know Win 10 supposedly got rid of the "guest" acct, but when I using the cmd prompt & enter Net User, I get that the default account setting is guest. It also states that an administrator acct exists, but I can't figure out how to activate it!

    Changing Win 1 acct type from guest to administrator

    Many thanks for offering a few options, Greg, but none led to me changing my acct settings to administrator. The 1st URL's req'd administrative privileges to make the change, & so did the 3rd URL once I opened a new acct. I'm about to give up!
