Windows 10: Can't reset windows 10 - help

Well, I know this is a "common" problem with a lot of solutions out there. I was having a problem with the Recovery Environment, mainly because it wasn't there...

So, I followed this guide, wich was the only one that actually showed the problem I was having.

This and then this.

Even though, after all this, i've been getting the "there was a problem resetting your pc no changes were made" error message. I tried everything i could imagine within the cmd.exe but I still couldn't make it.

I can't reset through the Windows Defender, or use commands such ren system system.001
or ren software software.001
because it is already in use in some other process.

Anyone have an ideia of what should I do? Besides reseting via a flash drive.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
