Windows 10: Can't restore from hibernate after RAM upgrade

Hi,I had 12 GB of RAM from 8 + 4 GB RAM modules. I switched the 4 GB module to a 16 GB, so now i have 24 GB RAM. The new RAM module have the exactly same parameters except the size as the 8 GB module.The problem is that after this upgrade, the notebook can't restore the system from hibernate. I also see that the hiberfil.sys file's size didnt changed. I tried to disable the hibernate function, than restore it, but nothing solved my problem.Also checked the RAM with memtest64, but it found no errors, and i also can't find any problem when i use the notebook after the upgrade.Is anyone had thi

Laptop now shutting down, sleeping or hibernating

The recent change that you've made on your ram could've affected the power plan settings of your device. As an initial troubleshooting step to restore your power settings, we suggest that you reset all default power plans to default settings. To this, follow
the steps below:

• Type Command Prompt in the search box.
• Copy and paste the command below:
  
  powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
• Press Enter, and then wait for the command to finish.
• Close the Command Prompt window.
• Restart your device, and then check if the issue persists.

High RAM usage after hibernate

To achieve greater power savings through hibernation, the entire contents of RAM are written to the hibernation file so power to the DIMMs can be essentially turned off. But that means all that data has to be restored to RAM when the computer comes out of
hibernation.

By contrast, in 'sleep' the contents of RAM are not written to the hard drive. The power savings are not as great, but shut down and resume are faster.

If you have a laptop with a battery that's teetering on the edge of death, or the conductor called your stop in the middle of
GTA your work on a big presentation, it makes sense to hibernate.

We suggest that you try to enable hibernation on your device using the Command Prompt.

To make hibernation available, follow these steps:

• Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
• In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
• When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
• At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate on, and then press Enter.
• Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.
