    For some reason I can't run the Device Manager. After a couple of minutes I get a "did not respond in a timely fashion" message :

    Transferring window 8 key which has free upgrade to windows 10 to a new device

    I wish to transfer my windows 8 licence which has a free upgrade to windows 10 to a new devicve. How do I do this and keep the free Windows 10 upgrade.

    Task manager doesn't run in Windows 10

    Thanks Sayan.

    Method 1: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    Method 2: CheckHealth: No component store corruption detected.

    ScanHealth: No component store corruption detected.

    RestoreHealth: The restore operation completed successfully.

    Rebooted, same thing happens. Taskmgr.exe is still in Windows\System32.

    Press Win+X, select to open a Command Prompt (Admin), then type these commands to fix any issues. Press ENTER at the end to execute:

    Dism.exe/online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

    sfc/scannow

    Dism/Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    sfc/scannow

    You can also copy each command, then right-click on the Command Prompt window title and select Edit->Paste.

    If one of the commands doesn't complete successfully you need further troubleshooting.
