Windows 10: Cant save MS Word docs

Discus and support Cant save MS Word docs in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Since i have upgraded to Win 10 i can no longer save any documents i create with MS Word.     Cant save MS Word docs


    Since i have upgraded to Win 10 i can no longer save any documents i create with MS Word.

    I try to save and this error messages pops up every time, and now i cant save any projects i create.

    Word/office (or similar) on N810?

    You can edit MS Word documents on the N810, if you "Save As", and Edit your MS word documents as an .HTML, instead of as a .doc file.

    You can also edit N810 files on your PC, in MS Word (via USB cable) by using a file manager tool, and right clicking on the N810 file and selcting "Open With". Choose "MS Word, or Word Pad" as the software to open the N810 word processor file in.
    For Excel yo can use: Gnumeric Spreadsheet.

    Reader printing small

    I cant download adobe reader...not sure if this would fix my problem. I print a word doc saved as PDF in windows 10 reader and it is scaled down. How do I fix this.

    Cant save MS Word docs

    Have you checked the path where the file system stores your documents. Click on the file icon in the task bar, scroll up to the "documents" section at the top and right click on properties, then click on location to check the path.

    I have chosen to save in Documents or Desktop, it doesnt seem to matter where i tell it to save to that error message appears.

    Even if i just go to overwrite the existing file i cant save.

    Instead of Microsoft Word, how about free LibreOffice....an excellent alternative. Try downloading LibreOffice and see if you can save those documents...BTW, it will save in all Microsoft Word formats plus its own "odt" format. If the documents can be saved, then you probably have a corrupted Microsoft program and might try re-installing it.

    Cant save MS Word docs

    It's more than likely a permissions problem. Check the permissions on your Username/Documents folder and make sure you have access to it, IE Full control.

    Running the office repair now.

    In the mean time i think i have all permissions ticked is this correct?

    Highlight your Username and check the permissions. In your SS you have System highlighted and of course it has Full rights.

    Did you have an antivirus installed when you upgraded (3rd party AV)? If you did, it might have been the cause. It could be another program conflicting with it, based off what I saw in a search for this topic. If nothing works, try reinstalling Office, but with your AV program temporarily disabled.

    I Had MS Security Essentials for my AV.

    Guess ill have to try re-installing Waaaaaah *Sleepy
