Can't search in newly created folders in cloned disk

For some reason when i created a folder i can't search at all in it, i can search in the cloned folders but not in the ones that i create. I also noticed that any folder that i can't search in it i just can move it to the old HDD drive and then i can search the files in it properly. I checked in security and apparently all the cloned folders that i can search in and also the folders of the old HDD have the SID of the old HDD i think. Probably is a problem of the clonation itself but i can't seem to fix it. I already tried rebuilding the index

    :)

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

    Windows 10 Search Bar Crashing

Once you create a new account and you may able to manage the Start menu and the Search function, including Cortana, meaning your previous user profile had been identified as corrupted. As a workaround, we suggest that you transfer all your important files
to the newly created account. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • Log in using the newly created account in Windows.
    • Press Windows + E to open File Explorer.
    • Navigate to this folder C:\Users.
    • Check for your previous user account or username.
    • Double-click your previous user account or username and you can see many folders.
    • Desktop, Downloads, and Documents are the most common folders wherein your files are saved.

If you have successfully transferred all the important files to newly created account, you may delete the corrupted one.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

    - press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
    - diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
    - list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
    - select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
    - clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
    - create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
    - exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
    - click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that
