Can't see connected devices after Anniversary Update

Hey guys, so today I update my system and surprisingly, I can't see my connected devices (such as mobile phone, external hard disks, etc) under 'This PC' or elsewhere. Tried uninstalling the drivers through Device Manager, restarting, everything.. but doesn't work. And no, it's not a problem with the usb ports. I can hear the sound of the devices connecting and I can charge them, but that's all... Don't know how to access them

    :)

  3. Western Digital Hard Drive 1tb stopped working after installing Windows 10 Anniversary update on the computer.

    Same Problem for me:

Before Anniversary Update: everything fine with the external HD when connecting (WD Elements portable 2GB)

AFTER Anniversary Update: external HD not recognized anymore, in Device manager only RAW, the device gets an Letter but accessing it is not supported as an error message!

Connecting it to a non-updated PC works all fine, so its not the drive but just a driver problem with the new anniversary update!

    Not helpful:

    - Connecting either usb 2.0 nor usb 3.0 works, same problem

    - deinstalling IDE/ATAPI driver and restarting doesnt help

    - deinstalling the WD when connected from the device manager and restarting doesnt help

To all others: DONT format your drive or something like that with partitioning, the data is still there and the drive is working correctly, its a windows driver problem AFTER the anniversary update!

This needs a fix from microsoft URGENT PLZ!
