Windows 10: Cant see my local disk when trying to change new content, i can only see my C: drive

My windows settings doesn't seem to recognize my Local Disk, only my C: drive it notices. The C: drive has a windows icon at the top but my local disk doesnot. I want to change the place where "New content is saved" but when i click on the drop down menu in settings, it only shows the C: drive not the D: drive. specifically what my main goal is to try and move the disk where my games from my xbox game pass downloads to the local disk. Please help would be really appreciated.

Changing the drive that my Local Disk (C is on. Or uninstalling windows to reinstall to the correct drive.

As I can see from the above screenshot you have 1.8 GB of space Unallocated. I suggest you to extend the shrink volume back to C: drive by following the below steps.

• Go to disk management, press Windows key + R and type
  diskmgmt.msc and hit enter.
• From this page right click on C: drive
  and click on Extend Volume.
• Follow the onscreen instructions by selecting unallocated space.

Now you will get total amount of space in C: drive.

USB drives not showing in "Change where new content is saved"

Mount the external drive to a folder on the system as a storage location:

This allows it to behave as a regular folder in File Explorer. This way, you can save files directly to an external drive just as you would a folder on your local disk. This method is usually achieved by using a disk management tool or third-party software provided by the operating system. Use the management tool to mount the usb drive as a folder as follows:

1. Go to Settings > System > Storage and click Advanced Storage Settings.
   
2. Click Disks and Volumes and locate the drive you want to install as a folder.
   
3. Select the drive and click the Properties button. Then you can view the details of the disk drive, including the assigned drive letter.
   
4. Click the + button in the Path section, then click Browse and navigate to or create a folder to install as a drive.
   
5. When finished, click OK. The new drive path is now displayed in the properties under the path.
   

Overall, external USB drives are usually not automatically recognized by Windows as an option for where new content is saved, but you can still save files to these drives manually.

Is it posible to stop an ESP partition in my C: drive to show as a local disk?

Help, please.

Currently using a home-built desktop PC; I cloned the old HDD system of the previous PC to an SS drive in the new PC and upgraded to Windows 11. After that I had not been able to make Windows 7 Backups.

I have followed a lot of suggestions from these forums, but no solution found.

It seems to be related to the junction point or reparse point (reparse point points to a volume employing FAT file system.) They suggested to check its properties and it is supposed to show "Type is listed as Mounted Volume", but in my case it says "File folder". They suggested to delete the folder, which I did, but when I later checked it was there again.

Checking the partitions in my system drive. I noticed there is a "Primary-FAT32 (LBA) ESP" partition which shows as a local disk

So, my question is: is it posible to stop that ESP partition in my C: drive to show as a local disk?
