Physical Laptop Windows 10 Pro x64 bitVM through Hyper V - Windows 7 Home x32 bitCan't see any network adapters on Windows 7, can't access ethernet ports or wifi. This is my first time setting this up, so I believe I'm missing something obvious. Here are all the settings I have. Any help is appreciated. 2. HyperV VMs with separate Network connections, one keeps dropping

    Hi all

I'm having a bit of an issue configuring a couple of HyperV VMs and I am hoping someone can guide me as to what I am doing wrong.

    Basic setup:

    Host:

    - HyperV Host Server: Windows Server 2019

    - Ethernet Adapter

    - WiFi Adapter

    HyperV:
    - 2 virtual switches, one for ethernet and one for WiFi adapters.

    - As soon as I add the WiFi adapter it becomes a network bridge connection appears within which only the WiFi adapter is selected.

    - 2 VMs, both running Windows Server 2019

    - One configured to use the ethernet vswitch, one the WiFi vswitch.

At the moment it's all working perfectly fine, both able to communicate with both the internet and the local network.

At some point during the day the WiFi adapter will loose it's connectivity (WiFi does not drop, but becomes "Unidentified Network").

I am unable to do anything with the VM to get it restored other than restart the Host server.

I've tried updating all my drivers, re-creating everything and nothing seems to prevent it from happening.

There's nothing specifically helpful in the event logs either so really hoping someone can advise.

    Many thanks!

  4. Can't see network adapters on VM through HyperV

HyperV - Host can't get connection

    Hello everyone,

I have a Windows server 2019 with HyperV, I tried to create an external switch and link a server (VM) but can't get an internet connection (the host is connected, it's a server in the cloud).

I have tried the trick remove the "allow management OS to share this network adapter" and re-enable it before doing the link to the VM but still can't get anything.

    If someone has any idea?
