Windows 10: Can't see the recent in windows explorer

For some reason this happened like 2 days ago randomly I don't think I've done anything to cause this but when I open windows explorer the recents come up as empty in the Home section and moreover on the start option the recommend tab also appears empty. I've tried disabling and enabling the show recent using the setting of windows explorer and also tried clearing the recent history but still the same issue.

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

 

Pinned & Recent Folder Missing From Explorer in Start
