Can't select 1920x1080 resolution on my PC or connect via HDMI

    Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite L650 which i normally connect to my living room TV through HDMI.

One day i started my PC and i could no longer make that connection. The TV would precive the HDMI cable inserted but no signal was found. Tried multiple HDMI cables, trie to connect to another external monitor, tried updating drivers for the graphics card which is a AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series but the drivers were updated and ultimatly i reinstalled Windows.
As i did not succed in connecting my PC to my TV i decided to look for this issue on the internet. Here i have found that what might have caused this issue is something to do with the resolution in the PC. Went to check and indeed the resolution was not 1920x1080 as normal but it was 1366x768 and it wouldn't go higher.
The solution to this problem for many people was to revert possible updates on the Display Adapters or updating drivers which i had already done. The problem i am having with this is as i have reinstalled windows i cannot revert any updates on the Display Adapter making this option greyed out.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

    Thanks in advance!

    :)

    Unable to select 1920x1080 resolution.

After a restart a few days ago my PC is suggesting that 1024x768 @ 60hz is my native resolution.

As I know this is not the case (I have had a 1920x1080 display for years and it has worked perfectly) I used DDU to have a clean install of my gpu drivers (nvidia) and changed and my HDMI cable, but to no avail. Suspiciously, nvidia control panel views my
monitor as connected via DVI, which it is not, and windows is running a generic php driver for it. I have since installed the generic windows flat panel 1920x1080@60hz driver, I was hoping this would fix it but it didn't change a thing.

I have run out of ideas. Anybody have any experience in this bizarre problem?
