    Can't select 2560 x 1080 on my new Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 to connect to monitor


    I have an LG 26" Ultrawide Monitor that I'm connecting to my new 2023 Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 running Windows 11. Resolution 2560 x 1080 isn't available in the display options for the monitor, so right now everything is stretched out. I've gone to the LG site and downloaded the new drivers, but they didn't change anything. How can I get Windows 11 to add 2560 x 1080 as a display option?To note: I'm running Microsoft 365 and have run all Windows updates on my laptop.I'm using a Surface dock to connect the monitor to.

    Lenovo L29W_30 WFHD 2560 x1080 monitor. When plugged into display port. I cannot select 2560 x 1080 resolution. will only allow 1920 x 1080 and display is not clear

    When monitor is plugged into display port. I cannot select 2560 x 1080 resolution. will only allow 1920 x 1080 and display is not clear. Will only allow 2560 x 1080 when plugged into HDMI port.

    Hi,

    I'm using the Surface Book and running into the same problem. I have a widescreen monitor that requires 2560 x 1080 resolution, but my laptop can only do a max of 1920 x 1080. I've tried your suggestions, but neither work. My drivers are all up to date.

    have 2 monitors both 2560 x 1440 and the system will only allow one monitor to be 2560 by 1440 and the other is set to 1920 x 1080
