Windows 10: Can't separate laptop microphone from headset microphone, Realtek Audio Manager missing

Sorry for the shit title, but that's about it.

All I've wanted to do is use my headset's microphone, yet the Realtek drivers won't fucking let me. On my Ryzen 3 laptop, All I'd do is launch Realtek Audio Manager, make them 2 different devices from there, and ta-da, apps like Discord would see 2 mics, not one. Not the same on my Dell Inspiron 7566 now.

There was a previous thread here about this exact thing, and I've followed the comment's advice yet it has not worked. I'd appreciate some help on this!

laptop not detecting headset microphone

I recently bought a new headset with a microphone and I can hear audio through the headset but
my mic is not detected and it is still using my default Realtek computer microphone.

I've tried looking for hidden microphones but there are none.
I've re-installed my Realtek HD Audio driver.

But nothing seems to work.

What should I do to fix this?

I can see 1 microphone the Realtek(R) Audio and the stereo mix.

But I can't see the headset mic as it's currently muted and the green bar on Realktek(R) Audio Microphone is going up when I speak.

So there must be something wrong.

 

Computer won't recognize headset microphone

This is what i see in device manager. Im not sure if the Speakers/Headphones (Realtek High Definition Audio) is the one your saying to disable, as that is what is default in playback devices in the sounds panel.

Setting Stereo Mix as the default recording device and disabling everything else still didnt get the mic working, even when the headset is plugged into the microphone only audio port or the mic + sound audio port.
