  1. Can't set a program to run as Admin automatically

I have a virus-removal program which suddenly started needing to be run as Admin. (BTW, why did this happen?) When I right-click on the link, there's no "Run as Administrator" option visible. When I try to set the program to automatically run as Admin, that option is grayed out. When I go to the GUI for the program, I get both of the above results. Currently, the only way I can run the program as Admin is to go through the Start Menu. Why is this happening, and how do I set the program to automatically run as Admin?

    :)

Can't set a program to run as Admin automatically

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
