  1. Can't set external drive as save location after my PC came back from assistance

    Hello.

I've been using my external SSD as a save location for the games I played with Xbox Beta game pass. Everything was working fine until I had to reset my PC due to maintainence.

Anyway, on the SSD drive I still have the games I had installed and the WindowsApp folder which nor I can't delete or edit but when I try to set the drive on the Xbox app again, I'm told to set the SSD as a default drive for app installing.

When I try to do that on Windows settings, I'm told the following things:

New apps will save to: Extreme SSD D: > apply > Delete other apps? This drive has apps from another device. To use this drive, the other apps must first be deleted. Do you want to continue?

Even though I'd prefer to have my old files to be recognised, I press YES.

    And then:

We couldn't save your default save location. The operation did not complete succesfully. Try again in a bit.

The error code is 0x80070005, in case you need it.

    And I press OK.

Already tried different times and nothing changed.

    I followed these steps:
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/error-0x80070005-when-changing-default-save/cd3834ee-eb92-49a6-9e61-f7c6a04943c8

But it didn't work for me.

    Any advice?

    :)
