    Dual Boot .

Dual Boot . . . My computer, is a laptop. Running, Windows 10. I tried,

Windows 11. But, I preferred. Good old, Windows 10!

But I would still, like to be able to use. Both, on one hard drive? These are the instructions I am following: How to dual boot Windows 10 and Windows 11 - Digital Citizen This is a screenshot, of my hard drive. And the window, that opened up. When I clicked on, shrink.

What amount do I enter, in megabytes. To shrink the volume, 465 GB. Making two, equal partitions? I hope this is not, too confusing? Thank you, for reading. Dana

Step Two . . . The above text is a reference to where this started. I did shrink, my C: drive. To almost two, even partitions. The attached picture, shows the result.

When you look at the picture, of the C: drive. You've got healthy boot. All kinds, of things. When you look, at the. Unallocated space. You have, to pick. New Simple, New Spanned, New Striped, Volume? Wow! I hope there's, a document. That shows me what, to do next? Remember. This is step two, in setting up for a dual boot. Thanks, for reading . . . 3. Performing Dual boot on the computer (Windows 10 and windows xp).

    Hi Vaibhav,

You will not face any system performance issues on performing dual boot by loading older Windows version first (Windows XP) and then the latest Windows version (Windows 10) on the computer.

To perform dual boot on the computer, you first have to create partitions to load both the OS onto the drives. Create disk partition by following the steps below and perform dual boot on the computer.

    • Press Windows logo + R keys on the keyboard to open
Run command, type diskmgmt.msc and press
      Enter.

    • Right click on OS(CCan't Shrink C: Drive Beyond 47GB for Dual Boot on Windows 11 even after disabling the... :) hard drive and select
      Shrink Volume.

    • Allocate the disk space in MB and click on
Shrink. An Unallocated drive will be created.

    • Right click on the Unallocated drive and select
New Simple Volume option. Follow the onscreen instructions and provide a drive name/letter in the process.

    • Perform dual boot and check if the issue is resolved on the computer.

Write to us with the status of performing dual boot on the computer in the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.
