  2. Windows 10 Xbox App asking for PIN number I never set.

    Hi,

If you signed in to Windows 10 using your Microsoft account, the Xbox app will take the credentials you've used to sign in. There's a possibility that the PIN code you're asked to enter is the PIN code of your Windows 10 user account. Let's remove the PIN
    code. Here are the steps:

    • Click Start and select Settings.
    • Select Accounts.
    • Select Sign-in options, under PIN, click
      Remove
      .
    • Confirm the changes by entering your profile password.
    Refer to
Can I sign in to Windows without a password
for the steps on how to change the sign-in options for your Windows 10 device.

If the same instance occurs after removing the PIN code and changing your user account's sign-in options, we suggest that you sign in to
Xbox.com. This is to verify if there's an issue with your Xbox account.

Keep us posted with the results. We'd be glad to further assist you.

cant sign in. keeps asking to set up my pin code.

Signing in with pin does not work, gives error code 0x8009002d

    Hi Nix,

A lot of users use PIN code to protect their devices from unauthorized access. However, users reported 0x8009002d error while trying to sign in to Windows 10 using a PIN code. Restarting your PC is a working workaround in correcting this issue.

If restarting your PC doesn't work, the next step to do is turning off Sleep mode and reset your PIN. There are reports that Sleep mode might be responsible for 0x8009002d error on Windows 10. To turn off Sleep mode, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows Key + S and enter "Power Options".
    • Select Power Options from the results list.
    • On your current plan, click the Change plan settings.
    • Set Put the computer to sleep to Never and click
      Save changes.

Now, we need to reset your PIN by following these steps:

    • Open the Settings app and go to Accounts >
      Sign-in options
      .
    • Look for the PIN section and click the Remove button.
    • The PIN section will ask you if you’re sure to remove your
PIN. Click the Remove button to confirm.
    • Enter your account password to verify your account and click OK,
      PIN should be removed.
    • Click Add button in the PIN section to add a new
      PIN.
    • Enter your new PIN twice and click the OK button to confirm.
    • Restart your PC and sign in with your new PIN.

Let us know if you need anything else.
