Windows 10: Cant sign in, says i need to install and app

Trying to sign into my laptop be it prompts me that i need to install an app or something. I looked around and most people can use a restore point to fix it but for some reason when i tried that it said i didnt have enough storage for that restore point.I couldn't find another answer and i didnt have anything on there i couldnt just redownload, mostly games and stuff so i did a reset where i keep my files and another that was a completreset.t when that didnt workIm still getting the prompt and i now have no restore point. I may have dug myself into a hole but i didnt think id still get the pro

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

Update us with the result.

Trying to install some apps then it says to install, which I do, but it never says installed

From the description provided, I understand that you are unable to install multiple apps via Windows Store.

The issue might occur if the app is not being able to download itself via Store at the first place.

First, try to update the Windows Store apps and see if it helps to make any positive impact.

Please follow the below steps.

1. Open the Store app.

2. Click on the user icon, and click/tap on
Downloads and updates.

3. Click on Check for updates.

4. If you have updates available for apps, then you can click on
Update all, or click/tap on the download and install (down arrow) button to update individual apps.

If it still does not help, I suggest you to follow these steps to run the Windows inbuilt troubleshooter and then try again to download and install the apps.

• Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

• Click on Troubleshooting tab.
  

• Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
  

• Select the Windows Update option from the list.
  

• Click Next to run theTroubleshooter.

Marketplace thinks app is installed, when it isn't (and so I cannot re-install)

Hi Beatriz, and thankyou for your response. Actually, it does not answer the problem, unfortunately.



I cannot follow the step you suggest ('uninstall the free trial') because the app (neither the free trial nor the paid app) does not appear on my application list.



If I search for the app on marketplace, it won't let me install it (free trial or paid app) because it says that it is already installed. But because it does not show up on my app list, I cannot uninstall it.



It looks like the only answer is a hard reset and restore to factory settings. This is not a good answer really!
