Windows 10: Can't sign in with personal account when adding a new printer?

I'm trying to connect a new printer to my personal laptop, but when I try to sign into my personal account when it prompts me to do this, but I get an error message telling me I need to sign into an organisational account instead? I did have an organisational account attached to this laptop, but it was only a temporary account and has since been deleted, so while my laptop still thinks I can sign into that account, I also get an error message there. Not sure what I've done wrong / what I can do to fix this!

The error code that your are getting when adding an account is usually caused by the following:

• Your phone has an incorrect date and time set.
• You do not have a data connection.
• Your phone is in a "bad state."

It is not possible to create a Microsoft Account using a Gmail email id. I suggest you to create a new Account and associate it with your Microsoft Account. Check if it helps.

To create a Microsoft account
