Windows 10: Can't sign into windows on PC

Since a windows update last night, i've not been able to log back into my PC. Whenever I try, it tells me that my password is incorrect when it isnt (since i've been able to log in here with the same password).

I suspect it has something to do with the 'Password' text not disappearing when I start typing in the login field.

I've also had a few error popups talking about a missing DPAPI.dll file.

Wifi is unavailable for some reason.

Chkdsk found no problems.

Sfc won't run.

I've rolled back the update but no change.

Start-up repair fails but I can't find out why because I can't access the log file if i cant log into windows.

System restore doesn't work because it cant access DPAPI.dll.

Booting in safe mode makes no difference.

Even resetting windows failed to run.


The only thing I haven't tried is restoring via a system image but I have no recovery disk or usb and I can't make one because I cant access windows.


I'm at a complete loss as to what to do next.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

Step 1: Try Disconnecting from the Internet

• 
  If there is a Wi-Fi icon on the sign-in screen, click it and go to Airplane mode.
  
• 
  If there is a wired connection, disconnect the wire.
  

Step 2

Try to sign-in on another device (phone or PC) via the account.microsoft.com page.

If the sign-in is unsuccessful, then try to reset the password and check.

If sign-in is successful there, don’t try resetting/changing the password, try using the On-Screen Keyboard to sign in on the PC.

If that fails, make sure the PC is connected to the Internet (the connection icon should be visible in the lower right).
