Windows 10: Can't transfer photos from LG3 phone with USB to my Laptop Windows 10

Since I updated my laptop to Windows 10 I can no longer transfer my photos from my phone to my Toshiba laptop using the USB port. It used to come up as an external drive and then I could simply view and download photos..
Do I need to do something different now, or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

nokia lumia 1020 pictures to mac yosemite

I have a Mac Desktop and a Mac laptop at home. I can use the Nokia photo transfer to move pictures from my phone to the desktop but cant get it to work on the Mac laptop that runs Yosemite. Have tried the app and doesn't seem to acknowledge that my phone
is plugged into the USB. The laptop sees the phone connected but can't access the photo transfer, etc.

 

Transfer photos from Android phone to Windows 10 laptop

I am having difficulties transferring my photos from my Android phone to Windows 10. With earlier versions of Windows, I would simply plug my phone into the laptop with USB and I would get a box popped up that would ask me what I wanted to do - easy peasy.
Now, when I plug my phone into the USB, I do not get the pop-up box. I can see the phone in My Computer, but I cannot find the photos or move them. I tried to sync my photos to One Drive, thinking that I could then download them from One Drive to my laptop,
but that has not worked for me to date. What is the easiest way to transfer photos from Android phone to Windows 10?

On your android phone, make sure it's set to Settings, Storage, USB connection, Media Device (MTP). This should make the phone appear as a Drive letter in Windows Explorer.

In Windows 10, go to Windows Explorer, My Computer, the phone should appear there as a device and drive letter. You should be able to view the various folders on the phone and access the photos.
