    Can't turn on 'Firmware Protection' in Core isolation of Windows Security


    Hi, I am Sakib using an HP Zbook Firefly 14 G8. I want to report a glitch or problem with Windows Defender which is not allowing me to turn on 'Firmware Protection' in 'Core Isolation'. There is an 'Enable' option next to Firmware protection. But when I click on it, I don't see the protection enabled. Please check and tell us the solution if there is. When I click on enable, the window straightly goes to the screen I attached in the last screenshot. Kernel mode protection was off, I turned it on to see any changes but nothing happened. So I turned if back off.

    Cannot Turn On Core Isolation Memory Integrity in Settings

    From Tutorial -> Turn On or Off Core Isolation Memory Integrity in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials

    Not able to perform steps in Option 1
    Under "Windows Defender Security Center", "Device Security" is not an option.
    Winver reports Version 1709 (OS build 16299 402)
    The processor is Intel I3
    Virtualization is enabled in system BIOS.


    Please advise.

    Core Isolation

    Memory Integrity provides extra protection on top of that already provided in Windows 10/11 by Windows Security and Core Issolation, but it is not an essential requirement.
