    Can't turn on Google Chrome notifications in Systems->Notifications screen


    This is a PC that was upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 several months ago. On the System->Notifications screen in the Settings app, I am unable to turn on notifications for Google Chrome. If I click the toggle, it turns back off immediately. If I click the on the bar itself to go to the next screen, it allows me to turn the toggle on, but as soon as I go back to the previous screen, it turns off again. This appears to be the only app on the Notifications screen that has this problem. I depend on notifications to remind me of meetings via Google Calendar. Please help!

    Hello,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    Please answer these questions for us:

    1. Was there any changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
    2. Are you able to see other notification icons?
    3. Have you tested the issue on a different user account?
    Please try this step and let us know:

    As you have already tried enabling the settings in Google Chrome and Windows 10, I would suggest you to create a new user account by following the

    link     and test the issue.

    Note- The notification icon will be missing if you access the Google Chrome in Incognito mode. Please access the browser in normal mode.

    Shawnloveshorse is right, these are just notifications - a clean install is not necessary!

    (SOLVED/CLOSED)looking for help with Android phone CONSTANT wireless signal notification

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.
