Windows 10: Can't type my password

Hello, I think this is the right topic that suits the issues I have.When I open my laptop I can't type my password and always getting the message "Password incorrect". I can't even press ok, the only button that works is the power button. I had no issues with it until today.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: On-Screen Keyboard

You may use the accessibility options to pop open a on-screen keyboard and type the password from there to make sure you are typing the correct password.

Step 2:

If you see your email address listed there, it must be a Microsoft account. You will be able to reset the password and log in if your PC is connected to internet.

Let's continue working on this. We suggest that you remove the email account on the phone and add it back again by following these steps:

To remove your email account:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap email + accounts.
3. Press and hold the email that you want to remove.
4. Select delete.
5. Confirm by selecting delete again.

To add your email account:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap email + accounts.
3. Tap add an account.
4. Tap the type of email your going to add.
5. Type the email address and password.

Make sure you're connected to the internet when performing these steps.

Note: Removing the account will delete all the information associated with it.

why doesn't my bitlocker make me type a password?

Please follow these steps and check if that helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to start the BitLocker Device Encryption service.

Follow the below steps:

1. Press Windows key + R from the Keyboard.

2. Type services.msc and hit Enter.

3. Search for BitLocker Device Encryption service.

4. Double click on BitLocker Device Encryption service and click on Start button.

5. Click on the dropdown list and set the Startup type to Automatic.

If the issue persists then change the password and change the settings on how drive is unlocked at startup.
