Windows 10: Can't Update Hotmail Password in the Win 10 Mail App. "Access Denied"

I changed my Hotmail PW yesterday via my iPhone. When I open the Mail app in Windows 10 on my PC, there is the prompt to "sign in". However, every time I click continue to sign in, I get "access denied" I see no way to change my PW within the Windows 10 mail app. I am able to access my email account on Outlook because I had to change my PW through the Microsoft Security page. It is only through the Windows 10 mail app where I cannot change my PW. Do I need to remove the mail via Command prompt and then reinstall through the Microsoft Store?Thanks in advance

I have tried this. When I try to add Hotmail, it says that it is already downloaded, BUT it does not show on the Windows 10 mail app page where my other mail account are listed. There was a time that the Hotmail was visible and usable from the Windows
10 Mail app. That is the problem--it will NOT display. In order to access my Hotmail mail account, I have to use Outlook. I cannot remember when or why this change took place--perhaps a Windows 10 update?

When I follow your directions, [which I have done numerous times in the past] the Hotmail does NOT appear on the list. Yet when I want to Add account, the reply I get is...there is already an account set up [for the hotmail.com. I do have access to my hotmail
emails on my Outlook.com. Will this make it impossible for me to see my hotmail emails on Windows 10 Mail?
