    Can't update KB5006670


    I have a HP all-in-one computer running Windows 10 2004 Build 19041.746. It is rarely used as it is kept at a holiday house. Last time I was there, it successfully did several updates but then stumbled on KB5006670. It takes forever, eventually gets to 100%, but then reports that it has failed. I have done this at least 10 times. I have seen other people on forums with the same issue. I found in the knowledge article that this can happen if KB5005260 is not previously installed as it is a pre-requisite. The last KB updates I had were in the 4xxxxxxx's. I went to the catalogue site to download

    Okay. I read the steps here and did methods 1 and 2 which didn't solve the issue. Page not found • Windows Report - Error-free Tech Life I did method 3 and same result. Sharing the screenshot of log of cmd prompt.

    Then I did an in-place upgrade and after the reboot, I got this.

    I'm still not able to install the update. I also went to deskmodder.de but couldn't find the script for the specific update that I'm facing issues with.
    I went here.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
