Windows 10: Can't update microsoft windows; now machine won't boot.

When I try to update windows 10 it fails and now it is stuck - how can i fix it ?

The issue is that at first it said page fault in non-paged area windows. Then it tried to auto repair and now it gets kmode exception. I had it do a system restore from before the update and now it sitll can't boot and keeps getting kmode failure. How can i get the system up and running.

The machine is a haswell refresh i7 with a nvidia 1070 graphics card. I can't give you the precise onboard drivers because i can't get the system up and running. It keeps dying with on boot up.

This was originally a windows 7 machine that was updated to windows 10 during the free update period. Since i have been using the data on this machine for years game machine so lots of steam games; i really don't wnt to have to attempt to reinstall as it would wipe my data since the restry would be lost the actual games are on a different disk but the registry data is on the system disk.

After update my Windows 10 to 17063.1000 build, skype won´t work...

It open, but if I Start my conversasion with camera, file share or screen share, it crash...

If I try to uninstall anda install again, I give an error...

Any workaround to solve this issue??

Volume Mute Light won´t change color


Macrium is used frequently in this forum. There are experts in using it to recover drives. It's unclear as to why you are struggling to use it. I had not used it and just tried it for the first time and it went smoothly. Maybe these images might help?
