Windows 10: Cant update my microsoft account password through windows 10 settings.

I changed my password for my Microsoft account and now nothing is being synced. under where accounts are and then "your info" I can't update info, I click on it and it a screen pops up for a second that says "just a moment" and it goes away within 2 seconds. I've tried other options like this one and the same thing keeps happening. Why is this happening? I paid a lot for this laptop and I can't even use my settings properly......

Microsoft account set as a work account and a Microsoft Account

As per the description, I suggest that you sign out of one of the accounts and sign into the account again. This will help us to know if the account used in either of the account is not the same.

To sign-out of the Microsoft Account follow the steps below

• Sign in to your Microsoft account on Windows 10.
• Click Start and then PC settings.
• Click Users and accounts and under Your Profile click Disconnect on the right of the screen.
• Enter your Microsoft account's password, and click on Next.
• Type in a Username, Password, and Password Hint that you want set for your Local account and click
  Next. Click on Sign out and Finish button.
