Windows 10: cant update pc or gaming services

0x800700020x800700c1no matter what I do, my pc wont update. The current version is from 2004, and no matter what I do it wont update its windows 10 btw. I had malware but I was able to delete it. even though I deleted it it still came up with the same error. I tried using sfc scan and an antivirus to patch files, but the sfc scan didnt work and the antivirus told me it worked even though it didnt. I tried running the troubleshooter and the install tool from the web still gave me the same error. Ive been trying to fix this for a while now, and no matter what I cant find a thread anywhere tha

Resolution Suggestion:

# To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

  • Some recently released games on the Xbox App for PC are not reflecting the correct update. If you encounter an issue updating a game within the Xbox app or indicates that an update is required, but the Xbox app does not show one available, use the Windows 10 Store to download and install the update.
    
  • To Update your game Via the Windows Store, click on this link for guidance. Get updates for apps and games in Microsoft Store
    
  • After your games finish updating, launch the Xbox App on PC, and your game should now launch normally from within the Xbox App
