Windows 10: Can't update windows 10

Hi

I would be very grateful if someone can help me here; I have tried all sorts of things to update windows 10 as it has not been updated since 2017.

According to settings as you can see, I am not connected to the internet which I am, and it seems to be working fine. I do notice the small icon in the bottom right hinting it is not connected properly; but it works all the same.

I have tried many things, starting and restarting the router and laptop which is a Toshiba satellite c75=A=13N. Tried many diagnosis of problems many to say I am not connected to a router or internet, but I am, or I would not be able to post this.

I surely cannot be the first to have this problem, I hope someone can help, thanks, Gordon.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
