Windows 10: Can't update windows. Opening Settings shoots disk usage to 100% and my pc restarts. Tried...

Since yesterday I started getting BSODs with the System_service_exception code. It happened like ten times yesterday, then I updated my Nvidia driver and it stopped, so I thought that was the problem.

But it started again today, and then I updated a bunch of other drivers that weren't updated. Now I don't get BSODs anymore, but my PC still restarts all the time.

I checked disk usage and some things were making it go 100%, so I disabled some of those and it worked for a while.

Since I still haven't got the latest Windows update, I opened Settings to try and download it, but then disk usage immediately shoots to 100% as I open Settings and my pc restarts- just restarts, now without the blue screen.

I saw an article talking about how that might be a problem with the Windows Update and files refusing to download themselves, and it was recommended to leave the pc alone so the files download eventually, but even when I do the pc eventually restarts by itself.

I have no clue how to solve this. I don't even know of my pc is necessarily trying to download the files since I don't have automatic updates on, so that's another thing. If it is, clearly leaving my pc alone to work by itself isnt working. And if it is indeed an error with Windows Update, how can I get it to work properly and install the update when I can't even open Settings without my pc restarting?

Disk Usage 100% in DELL , Windows 10

Hello ,

I recently purchased DELL inspiron with 4GB ram , HDD disk .

This pc has been running so slow since the begging , then I observed the disk usage which spins 100% , I cant Animate , open apps quickly , Run visual studio code properly, play high graphic games.

For information I have done almost all the suggested steps from internet , My last hope is Microsoft

I have taken these steps but still my pc had no change

1) disabling Superfetch , search

2) All drivers Updated

3) Set High performance

4) reinstalled Windows (2 times)

5) defragmentation ....etc

Please take this problem seriously this is my 3rd DELL Machine which has the same problem .

I have tried up to 30 steps but still my Disk usage is 100%.

Disable Windows Search

Update your device drivers

Disable SuperFetch service

Disable Antivirus Software temporarily

Change your Google Chrome & Skype settings

Fix your StorAHCI.sys driver

Still when I disable windows update in servicers.msc it turns ON after day or 2..

 

100% disk usage bug - tried everything online - FIX DATE please ???!!
