Windows 10: Cant upgrade from windows 11 home to pro with a product key error 0x80070057

I recently purchased a windows 11 pro key as i wanted to upgrade my laptop from home to pro. Each time i put the key in it saysUnable to upgrade your editionSomething interrupted our troubleshooting. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet, wait a few minutes, and try again. 0x80070057I have made sure to check for spelling mistakes and have also tried using an windows 10 pro key which I know works and got the same result. I am using a Dell XPS 9310 on Windows 11 build 26120.470. Any help would be appreciated.

Error 0x80070057 - Activation/upgrading W10 Pro from W10 Home

I got the key from an online retailer. Yes I did use one of the steps in the tutorial above, more specifically method - To Enter a Product Key and Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro

My key gets accepted however, after extensive research and contacting the seller, I've found that the key only would only work on fresh installs (fine). As i did not want to fresh install and lost all my files, i have gone ahead and tried windows 10 Pro Generic Key (even as shown in the tutorial linked). This key also gets accepted and gives the same error.

ShowKeyPlus check on the Pro key:

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

Yes, but this thread is about upgrading from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro. So the activation troubleshooting and log collector would be collecting information about the current Windows 10 activation, which is in fact Home Edition - not about the product key attempting to be used to upgrade the current Home to Pro.

Microsoft has told @BillionJothi that he has a "bulk" Enterprise key for Windows 10 Pro - which equates to a MAK key. Therefore it is not legitimate for @BillionJothi to activate Windows 10 Pro on their personal computer with it.

Actually, he just went ahead used the illegitimate product key anyway:
