    Can't upgrade HP 250g laptop


    I tried multiple time to upgrade from w7 both online and from a window 10 disc. Like others gets most of the way through and fails.

    I created an image backup, just in case and thought about a fresh install. I extracted the windows 7 key and could use that when I install w10 on the formatted drive.

    So I'm just not sure the laptop will even run w10 and don't want to waste time trying to install it if it will never work.

    I would like to note that step 20 comes up with no files. Perhaps this could be the source of the issues?

    My hp laptop wont turn on

    This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

    Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

    • Disconnecting the battery and adapter
    • Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
    • This should clear the flea power

    If this doesnt work, read this article its about
    a dell inspiron     but the same applies for you hp. It has some detailed step by step instructions
