Can't upgrade to Windows 11 & can't afford a new PC, do I have any real options?

Got a message this morning again reminding me plus millions of others I suspect that support for Windows 10 finishes in October. My PC won't upgrade and I can't afford a new one so are there any other options that I have? I had heard a rumour somewhere that a paid subscription style extended support could be available but it seems that is only for companies that use Windows 10 rather than individuals, is that right? To be honest even if I could afford a new PC I certainly have no desire to have one with co-pilot as it is the most annoying thing Microsoft has produced. I have turned it off

    Can`t Upgrade 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 10

I tried upgrading my notebook/tablet pc from 32-bit to 64-bit windows 10. But it won`t boot from my usb. I checked if its compatible and followed the steps, but I didn`t get the windows "install now" option.

  3. Windows Installer Issues! Can´t Install Programs on Windows 11.

Did you see my warning under the WIndows Club link in my last post to avoid Restoro which is a PUP? If you'd miss that I wonder what else was missed. Absolute thoroughness is required in these issues, skipping nothing and asking back if you need any help to complete a step. We often find out later that the fix was the skipped step, so please do not skip any. If you need help performing any step I will help.

I would uninstall Restoro ASAP and run System File Checker/DISM in WIndows 11:

If that doesn't fix it then you can do a Windows 11 Repair Upgrade which reinstalls Windows while saving your files and apps in place, brings it up to the latest version by the most stable method, takes about an hour and resolves most problems: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/repair-install-wi...

Annoying This PC can´t run Windows 11 message

Hi folks I´ve got an older laptop here I´m using which I KNOW won´t run W11 and don´t want to even attempt to run it on as the default OS -- and W10 will still be current for a few years yet so why on earth every time I go to update W10 I get that stupid message

Surely there ought to be a user selectible option --> check if PC is able to run W11 or similar. Does it mean now we will have to see this message for ever on older computers that have no intention of having W11 installed on them. !!! (That said though I've installed W11 as a test via boot from VHDX physical disk note NOT a VM and using Dism /apply-image from a W11 iso downloaded from UUPDUMP and it does install and work on this same machine BTW -- but that's another issue -- I should be able to bootW10 and update normally without the annoying message). Cheers jimbo
