Windows 10: Can't use fingerprint or face to sign in

    Can't use fingerprint or face to sign in


    I can't use fingerprint or facial recognition to sign in ,, it always shows "this option is currently unavailable" .

    How to sign in with Fingerprint and face with limited user account

    Hi Bhathiya,



    This issue occurs when your fingerprint is not registered with an account on the computer or there is no Windows password for the Windows account.
    To better assist you, please clarify the following:

    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Any recent changes made prior to the issue?
    • Can you possibly send us a screenshot?
    • What is the make and model of your device?


    We would also recommend that you check out this
    link    . This will provide you troubleshooting steps when you cannot log on to a computer by using the fingerprint reader.
