    Can't use most of the keys on my keyboard after PC goes into sleep mode/shuts down


    Whenever my laptop shuts down, after I boot it again/wake it up from the sleep mode, it seems like some part of my USB keyboard isn't connected since I can't use any keys besides letters such as ctrl, caps lock, shift, the functions keys, arrows etc. and I have to unplug it to make it work again. It's not just with one keyboard but just any I plug to this specific USB port of my laptop. I'm not sure what might be the case of this, but I'm afraid it's the faultiness of this specific USB drive because earlier when I used it for a converted USB to HDMI+VGA it worked horribly as well and scree

    PC shuts down after trying to wake from sleep mode.

    After my Win 10 PC goes into the sleep mode and I try to wake it, the PC just shuts itself down.
    I have not tried much of anything to fix this. Any suggestions ?

    Not able to awake PC from Keyboard but can push it to Sleep Mode from Keyboard Special Key

    Hi Guys,

    I have Logitech MK270 with some Special Keys one of which is PC Sleep Button as shown below, by pressing that Button I can push PC to Sleep Mode but I am not able to awake my PC by pressing any Keyboard button or Mouse clicks, Why so? so to bring PC to working mode from sleep I will have to click start button.

    Can't use most of the keys on my keyboard after PC goes into sleep mode/shuts down logitech-k270-m705-jpg.jpg



    However I can bring back my PC to working state if I click any keyboard button just after I pressed the sleep button after 10 to 15 seconds but not able to do it after 15 minutes of Sleep Mode.

    Please advice.

    Is it possible to shut down the computer (or sleep) using the keyboard and not the mouse?

    Hi,

    It is still possible to use the keyboard shortcuts keys to shutdown your computer by following the steps below:

    • Make sure you are on the desktop page.
    • Press and hold ALT + F4.
    • Shut Down Windows will open and you can use arrow keys to either Sleep,
      Sign out, Shut down, or Restart.
    • Hit Enter on preferred choice and the mode will take effect.
