Windows 10: Can't use my laptop... help

    Can't use my laptop... help


    I have a Lenovo Ideapad P400 and the battery is gone. I keep it plugged in but the other day it came unplugged and when I restarted it the message said it was preparing automatic repair. Then the screen goes blank and that's it. I can't click F8 to try to run in safe mode or anything .I really need my files and would like to use my laptop again. I'm running windows 10. Can anyone help me get it back up and running? My battery is built in I guess. I can't see a way to remove it.
