Windows 10: Can't use the apps/multiple apps feature on 'Phone Link'

I can't use anything from my phone other than the calling functionality, notifications, messages, and photos. I can't find the option to use other apps on my phone like reddit, whatsapp, etc. You can see my point of view through the inserted image. I have a OnePlus 6T with Android 11

Apple Claims Steam Link App Violates App Store Guidelines

Here's what Valve is contending with:

The ones that stand out that may have caught Steam Link:

2.5.5 We will be reviewing on an IPv6 network, so if your app isn’t compatible with the IPv6 addressing, it may fail during review.
2.5.6 Apps that browse the web must use the appropriate WebKit framework and WebKit Javascript.
2.5.7 Video streaming content over a cellular network longer than 10 minutes must use HTTP Live Streaming and include a baseline 192 kbps HTTP Live stream.
2.5.8 Apps that create alternate desktop/home screen environments or simulate multi-app widget experiences will be rejected.

3.1.1 In-App Purchase:

If you want to unlock features or functionality within your app, (by way of example: subscriptions, in-game currencies, game levels, access to premium content, or unlocking a full version), you must use in-app purchase. Apps may use in-app purchase currencies to enable customers to “tip” digital content providers in the app. Apps and their metadata may not include buttons, external links, or other calls to action that direct customers to purchasing mechanisms other than in-app purchase.

Any credits or in-game currencies purchased via in-app purchase may not expire, and you should make sure you have a restore mechanism for any restorable in-app purchases.

Remember to assign the correct purchasability type or your app will be rejected.

Apps should not directly or indirectly enable gifting of in-app purchase content, features, or consumable items to others.

Apps distributed via the Mac App Store may host plug-ins or extensions that are enabled with mechanisms other than the App Store.

Apps offering “loot boxes” or other mechanisms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose the odds of receiving each type of item to customers prior to purchase

(i) Creating an interface for displaying third party apps, extensions, or plug-ins similar to the App Store or as a general-interest collection.

4.2 Minimum Functionality
Your app should include features, content, and UI that elevate it beyond a repackaged website. If your app is not particularly useful, unique, or “app-like,” it doesn’t belong on the App Store. If your App doesn't provide some sort of lasting entertainment value, or is just plain creepy, it may not be accepted. Apps that are simply a song or movie should be submitted to the iTunes Store. Apps that are simply a book or game guide should be submitted to the iBooks Store.

4.2.2 Other than catalogs, apps shouldn’t primarily be marketing materials, advertisements, web clippings, content aggregators, or a collection of links.

4.2.3 Your app should work on its own without requiring installation of another app to function.

So yeah, there's a lot of reasons why Steam Link would get rejected.

App submissions and approvals is a thing between developer and Apple. Valve intentionally let this information leak probably because Apple's restrictive guidlines will never allow Steam Link to be on the store. Valve is hoping the Steam user base makes a lot of noise so Apple grants Valve and exemption. I doubt it will work. Apple loves control and Steam Link is a portal into the Linux/Windows ecosystem. Even if Steam Link were exclusive to Mac OS, Apple would likely demand Valve use Mac OS's remote desktop features rather than Steam Link.

I'd be shocked if Apple allows it.

Your Phone app soon can run multiple android apps simultaneously on PC

A few months ago, we introduced Your Phone - Apps feature allowing you to launch and pin apps on your PC. The ability to launch multiple apps simultaneously is now gradually rolling out to selected Samsung devices (details below) and only to the Windows Insider Community on a PC that is configured to be in the Dev, Beta, or Release Preview Channels. This is an early preview so you may still find a few issues, but we would love to hear your feedback.

Please verify that you have all the updates below and keep in mind that this is gradually rolling out so even if you have all below it may take a few days for you to get it enabled:

Your Phone app on your PC version 1.20102.132.0 or higher - from Microsoft Store

Your Phone companion app – Link to Windows on your Samsung device version 1.20102.133.0 or higher – from Google Play store

Link to Windows Service version 2.1.05.2 or newer – Get it from Galaxy store only available using this link here on your mobile device

Multi-apps feature requirements and recommendations:

Multi-app experience requires Windows 10 May 2020 Update or later. However, we always recommend updating to the latest version of Windows 10. To check and update our version of Windows, on your PC go to Settings > Updates & Security > Check for update.

Only available on select Samsung devices (see list below)

Your Android device and PC need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

What Android devices are supported?

This feature is currently available on the following Samsung devices running Android 10 that have Link to Windows integration:

Samsung Galaxy Note20 5 G

Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G

And on the following Samsung devices with Link to Windows integration and enrolled in the Samsung OneUI 3.0 Beta program, running Android 11:

How to join Link to Windows - Beta program?

On your Android device copy this link into a browser

The link will ask you to open Galaxy Store > click Participate

Log in with your Samsung account

Select Update

Limitations:

Some apps might block the ability to cast to another screen, so you may see it as a black screen.

Some games and apps might not respond to interactions from a mouse or keyboard connected to your PC. You'll need to use a touch-enabled PC to interact with them.

When you open an Android app via Your Phone, you view and interact with the app on your PC, but any audio coming from the app will play from your Android device. The sound isn’t transmitted to your PC.

Your smartphone must be on and unlocked to use the Apps feature. You can unlock the device from PC after launching an app if needed.

Phone and PC must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

Apps that are installed under work profile or secondary profiles will not be shown in the Your Phone App list. If you wish to interact with those apps, you can open them via the Phone screen functionality.

Known Issues:

When using the Android Gmail app on PC to reply to an existing thread, the reply will not contain any fields including recipient’s email, subject or previous thread if included. This issue is fixed for users running Android 11.

If you update to 20H1 after receiving the app update, launching an app pinned from Start/taskbar may not work. A clean install of 20H1 or newer will not have this issue.

Narrator might not work properly for specific apps like Bixby, Camera, AR Zone.

Some of the messages may still show in English only

If you don’t have the latest update to the Link to Windows service. Clicking on a notification via toast or in the notifications feed won’t launch the app if no other apps are running via the Your Phone app. You can work around this by opening the app from the app list first or having any other app open before clicking on the notification. This issue is fixed in the latest Link To Windows service (2.1.05.1 or newer) available via the Galaxy Store Beta program.
