Windows 10: Cant use the space bar while holding ctrl

When holding ctrl my space bar just won't work. I noticed it when playing Minecraft that while holding ctrl I can't sprint jump. and then I saw that when I try typing while holding ctrl the spacebar doesn't space. Please help it really effects the gaming experience when playing Minecraft. I'm also pretty sure its not a keyboard problem, because I was able to do it before.

Space bar not working

My space bar is not working. The only way it works is if I also hold the "Shift" key (and in some programs the "CTRL" key). On-Screen space bar doesn't work either.

I have:

• tried deleting the keyboard driver and reinstalling it.
• tried 3 different physical keyboards and the on-screen keyboard.
• disabled all usability controls. Sticky Keys, Filters, etc.
• tried changing my keyboard layout to another language

I'm at a loss. I feel like the kids likely hit some combination of keys to disable it accidentally, but I haven't had any luck Googling the issue. Please Help!!!

I'm using Win 10.

• Have you installed all pending updates on your machine?

ctrl + Space not working while pressed together

So i recently found out, that if i press the space bar and ctrl key together my space bar doest give any input. It doesn't matter if i am using word or a web browser it still is there. A windows update did not help and suggested keyboard driver updates are not possible because they are on the latest one.
