Windows 10: Can't view or download email attachments except for Microsoft docs

I am no longer able to view or downloads any attachments I receive on my Hotmail account with the exception of attachments that are Microsoft Office files. Can't view or download any PDF, WordPerfect Office files, or images: .jpg and png. This problem started last week. I have made no system changes or added new software. I did a sytem restore to my last restore point on June 4th but saw no change in ability to view or download or print of non Microsoft email attachments.

My Windows Version number is 1909 build 18363.778

Hello Allan,

To attach a document file on an email, you can follow the step given below:

For Windows 10 Mobile:

• Launch to File Explorer app.
• Press and hold the file that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select Outlook Mail on the suggested applications.

For Windows Phone 8.1:

• Download and install
  Files app.
• Launch Files app.
• Tap and hold the document that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select the Mail app on the suggested applications.

attaching a doc to an email

I want to attach a doc word file to a email and when u click on attach its only taking me to the pictures option and not showing me the doc i saved

the phone...and how do i see the doc i saved on the phone...i have lumia 720 with windows 8
