Windows 10: Can't view windows update in update and security settings in windows 10.

Hello, I'm unable to check "Windows update" settings in the windows update and security settings. It says "Something went wrong. Try to reopen settings later". I'm not sure why or when did this issue appear but It's extremely frustrating. I've tried running the windows update troubleshooter which tells me the following "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem.", I've also tried running a set of commands which i saw on a similar question forum about the same issue. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth sfc /scannowboth of these worked fine and didn't show any errors.power

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Windows 7 Ultimate (64) Security updates not installing.

I have been having problems in installing the updates that I have listed below. For each update I attempted to install them individually but they would not install. I also downloaded the SURT 6.1 KB947821 v27. The problem has been going on now for about 2 months. (whenever the issue with the updates comes to mind I am never near my pc). Thank you in advance.

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
