Windows 10: Caps lock returns to desktop on some not all programs -mainly videogames.

Hi,I have a Lenovo laptop with the latest windows 10 installed. After one of the updates, which happened 2-3 months ago, I noticed that a new visual queue was added whenever I pressed caps lock. The thing is handy but after that some programs began automatically switching to desktop. I do not have an external keyboard to try this on as suggested in another thread so am asking if there is anything else I can try to fix this.I have a suspicion that this has to do with the notification itself as when I am eventually brought back to desktop, I cannot alt-tab back into the program I wish to keep on

This is likely to be one of those where, as I don't know what you've already tried, I'll have spent time suggesting what you have tried.

That's why I asked for a clear list of what you have tried.

Do you see this when you toggle caps lock?

The Caps Lock On indicator may have been disabled that's why it doesn't appear on your screen when Caps Lock is on. To have it enabled, follow these steps:

• Right-click on your desktop and click Display Settings.
• Click Advanced display settings.
• Scroll down and click Display adapter properties.
• Click the Screen configurations tab and check the box for
  Enable on-screen display.
• Under Indicator settings for NumLock and CapsLock, look for While the numeric lock or the caps lock is ON section and choose either
  Show the indicator for a few seconds or Always show the indicator on the screen.
• Click Apply, then OK.

Caps lock stuck on desktop

The indicator for "Caps Lock is on" is stuck on. Caps lock is actually off, but the indicator won't go away. I'm on a HP 251-a244 desktop and Windows 10. My windows password is in all caps so i press the caps lock key when I log into windows. But
after logging in, the caps lock indicator in the middle of the display doesn't go away. As I'm typing this, that indicator is front and center on my screen. Pressing the caps lock key works properly in terms of turning caps lock on and off but it doesn't remove
the indicator on the display when caps lock is off. Here's a screen shot of my screen right now. Notice the "Caps Lock is on" indicator. Please help!
