    Caret Browsing and Volume Buttons


    Hello, everything has been working fine, until this morning. My volume keys are, f6mute, f7 -, and f8 +. I tried to use them to adjust my volume and then got a pop up asking if I wanted to enable caret browsing, I selected no, but my f6 key is still opening my search bar. I checked my internet advanced settings, it says my caret browsing is turned off. It seems to only be affecting those 3 keys. I would like to regain use of these shortcut keys, they were working just fine yesterday. Any help would be great.

    Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

    Check if the F7 key is stuck or not. If no, try updating the keyboard drivers from Device Manager (accessible if you right-click Start button in taskbar and choose the app from the list).

    Volume shortcut keys stopped working, stuck on caret browsing

    Hello, I have an HP laptop that I recently updated to windows 10. Everything has been working fine, until this morning. My volume keys are, f6mute, f7 -, and f8 +. I tried to use them to adjust my volume and then got a pop up asking if I wanted to enable
    caret browsing, I selected no, but my f6 key is still opening my search bar. I checked my internet advanced settings, it says my caret browsing is turned off. It seems to only be affecting those 3 keys. I would like to regain use of these shortcut keys, they
