We have opened a case with Microsoft, but are not getting any response on this. How do we get Microsoft to actually pay attention to a Support Ticket? We have several SQL 2012 servers with SSIS/SSRS on them, using Oracle Clients for connecting to Oracle DBs. As 2012 is going out of support, we need to migrate these to SQL 2016 SSIS/SSRS. While we can get 2012 to properly reference and use the installed Oracle Clients 12.2 and 19c, SQL 2016 does not seem to even recognize that an Oracle Client is even installed on the server. We have installed the Oracle 19c 64 Bit Client on the server.

    :)

  2. SSIS with Oracle connection doen't work in SQL job agent

I use Oracle connection in SSIS. There are two ways to access Oracle data in SSIS package, one is MSORA Connector (Microsoft Connector for Oracle by Attunity), another is ODBC connection.

I can use both ways when execute in visual studio. But it can’t be done in SQL server as step
    in job agent.

Do you know what's the matter cause this issue? Thanks!

How do I Uninstall SQL Server 2016 (64-bit) in Windows 10 Apps & features

    Hi,

How do I Uninstall SQL Server 2016 (64-bit) in Windows 10 Apps & Features when Modify and Uninstall button is displayed, but faded out and not accessible.

I have managed to uninstall all related SQL programs, but I am stuck with SQL Server 2016 (64-bit) by using uninstall in Apps & features. And I am not able to see any SQL files in Programs and Features.

I have deleted all Microsoft SQL servers folders manually in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) after I have run the uninstall program, I have deleted all SQL files related to SQL in the Registry after the uninstall program
did not clean the register file. And I have deleted all related SQL service files after the uninstall program left some files there, but still SQL Server 2016 (64-bit) shows up in Apps & features. I assume there are some SQL files I did not have to deleted.

From where does the SQL Server 2016 (64-bit) in Apps & features comes from? I like to delete SQL Server 2016 (64-bit) from Apps & features, before I do a new SQL installation.

    Thanks,
