    Hi,
    My HP laptop has only one port for headphones.
    And, I want to convert my cassettes to mp3.
    I have to buy an external usb sound card.
    I found only two port- sound cards in the shops in my country.
    One port for microphone and the other for headphone.
    There is no line-in.
    Is it OK to record from cassette to laptop using the microphone port.
    Or what can I do?

    I like to know if anyone has information on how to convert cassette tapes to either CD or MP3 using Windows 10.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    There is no such options in Windows 10 to Convert the Cassette to CD/mp3.

    I would suggest you to Download and install any third party software
    and check if it helps.

    Converting old tape cassettes to MP 3

    Finally found time at last to settle down and convert all my 150 or so old Eighties tape cassettes to MP3 and bought a converter called Reshow off Amazon thinking it ought to be fairly straightforward, but got tripped up yet again by another Chinese manual which was the usual microscopic gibberish.

    Never having done it before any help very much appreciated indeed thanks !... *Smile
