Windows 10: cast to device on Surface pro 8 Windows 11 to Beosound Stage

I just splurged on a very nice speaker and want to use it with my PCs, but I am having difficulty finding the necessary configuration details in Windows 11. The devices are - Sound Bar: Beosound Stage, both separate and as part of a Beovision Contour TV. I think it supports DLNA, Miracast, Chromecast, and AirPlay 2. WLAN and bluetooth are active.- PC: Microsoft Surface Pro 8 running Windows 11, using a bluetooth Surface keyboard or a type cover. - Phone: Nokia 3.4 running Android 12. Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro Gets Priced

All of this doesn't matter what so ever. The fact is Windows 8 tablets are priced way too high. People are going to by the iPad long before they ever buy these simply because of price point. Microsoft had a great idea to have the same UI across all of their devices, but they are dead in the water due to price.

 

Unable to Cast from Android to Surface Pro 7

I am trying to cast my One Plus 8 Pro to my Surface Pro 7, but it times out during connection. I can get the One Plus 8 Pro to connect to my Dell Latitude 7400 2 in 1 and my Sony Bravia TV.

One Plus 8 Pro running Android version 10, build Oxygen OS 10.5.10

Surface Pro 7 running Win 10 1903, 18362.9

Surface Pro 'Projecting to this PC Settings': Available Everywhere, First Time Only, First Time Only. Power Source: off.

Bluetooth enabled. Same Wifi. Tried having the Surface Plugged in and unplugged. Continues to time out.

Any suggestions?

• Do you get any error message when you try to cast the device?
• Does the issue happen when you don't use cast to device, I mean when you are online?
• Which device do you use to cast the content?

If the issue happens only when you cast the device, the issue can be that of the casting device. In that case I would request you to execute the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Bluetooth adapter. Refer these steps:
