Windows 10: Casting no longer working

Yesterday I noticed AD joined fully patched machines are no longer able to cast to any device. I can see the devices to cast to, a connection attempt is made then just hangs until it times out without any errors that I can find. I'm wondering if an OS update might be causing this or even a M365/Azure policy. At a total loss.

'Cast to Device' no longer working

YouTube or Vimeo it will literally play one-half to one full second of the video and stop.

I will not be following the linked steps, I am done with this issue until MS releases an acknowledgement and an actual fix. Remember, I have a computer science background, and this is a custom built rig on a clean install. Whatever screwed this up is on
MS's end, not mine. Good luck to anyone else with this issue...

 

Cast to device not working in Windows 10 after upgrade from 8.1

Please confirm a couple of things:

• Are you using Edge browser to cast the videos?
• Is it specific to Edge browser?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

• Open Edge browser and access the video which you want to cast to your TV.
• Click on the Share icon on the top right hand corner of the browser.
• Among the listed devices select your device and check if you're able to cast the video.

The other similar thread to this says 'Cast to' used to work to a Samsung TV but now it doesn't. This would imply something is 'wrong' with our Win 10?

Can anyone suggest some more troubleshooting steps to try to determine what the issue is?
