    Casting to a 4K Samsung smart TV, only get 1080p(extend display)


    I tried to cast from my pc to my 4K TV through wifi, but it seemed to only show 1980x1080 screen, tried to change the screen setting to other resolution, but it won't show anything but my cursor if setting to other than 1080.

    is it default for samsung? im pretty sure my PC can handle 4K...

    I have a TCL smart 4k tv and both my computer and tv are connected to the same wifi signal. How to I cast videos on my computer to the tv? I am able to cast from my samsung phone to the tv but cant seem to find a way with the pc

    The other similar thread to this says 'Cast to' used to work to a Samsung TV but now it doesn't. This would imply something is 'wrong' with our Win 10?

    Can anyone suggest some more troubleshooting steps to try to determine what the issue is?
