    THE CD/DVD IN MY LENOVO DOES NOTHING WHEN I PUT A CDC/DVD IN CONTROL PANEL CAN'T FIND THE CD/DVD ICON THE DRIVER IS UP TO DATE. TROUBLESHOOTING RESULTS OK this started when I downloaded Window 10. I test the drive and it showed that it is functional in device manager they are no cd/dvd icon.

    thanks for considering my very frustrating issues I have tried several remedies with no success

    CD/DVD device door fail

    when disk is got stuck ,to eject , there is a small hole on DVD drive , insert safety pin in DVD drive hole ,dvd door will open , take the dvdrom,close it.

    boot the windows into safe mode , try burning of cd or dvd , recheck the problems

    ---I'm okay with opening latops. I've opened this one 3 times, adding SSD HD and upgrading RAM. I'll be able to try this later on, Friday, probably. With it spinning up when a CD is inserted, I'm not sure this would help. I'd appreciate advice on this.
