Windows 10: CD-R recognized as DVD RW on windows 11, will not let me burn CDDA files to disc

Discus and support CD-R recognized as DVD RW on windows 11, will not let me burn CDDA files to disc in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Not much more to say, I have tried to burn the files in multiple formats including MP3 and M4A and the "burn to disc" option is greyed and unavailable....     CD-R recognized as DVD RW on windows 11, will not let me burn CDDA files to disc


    Not much more to say, I have tried to burn the files in multiple formats including MP3 and M4A and the "burn to disc" option is greyed and unavailable. I have checked my disc port and it looks fine, I have inserted multiple different blank CDs into this computer with no luck of it identifying them. I have successfully burned a different brand of CD in years past but this is my first attempt in a few years.

    What app are you trying to use to burn with? The fixes may be different for each app or player.

    Have you tried burning disk with VLC, the world's most popular player?

    DVD RW Drive E not recognizing formatted Verbatim DVD-R Disc

    My DVD RW Drive E does not recognize a formatted Verbatim DVD-R Disc that I am trying to burn.

    Any suggestions?

    DVD+RW Discs Not Currently Recognized

    If you have burned data to a DVD/RW or CD/RW you must Finalize the disc before Ejecting it or it will not be able to be read on another computer.
    CD/DVD-RW drives are finicky on which discs brands they like to use. -/R or -/ RW disc brane, and the same brand +/R or +/RW will not be recognized. Once you find a brand that works, it's best to stick with that brand.
    What is the Make and Model# of the DVDRW drive? You can search for a Firmware Update for the drive which will allow you to use different brands of discs.
    Also, if no blank media is working, then the Recording Laser inside the drive may have failed. You can read discs but you can't burn to blanks.
